Start with intended use
A thermal base layer may be sold for daytime layering,outdoor activity or underwear. That does not automatically make it approved children's sleepwear. The selected purchase records here are explicitly pajama sets. We do not reclassify an unidentified thermal shirt or long john bottom from fabric,softness or a picture alone.
The product’s promotion matters
CPSC's sleepwear guidance considers the garment and its intended sleep-related use. A casual loungewear or underwear label is not a universal escape from every applicable requirement. This site does not make a legal classification for an unreviewed product. If the maker does not establish sleepwear use,the lookup returns unknown rather than a sleep-approved badge.
Do not use warmth to settle safety
A thick knit,fleece appearance or thermal title says nothing by itself about flame resistance,required labels or a measured insulation value. We have not performed burn,thermal or wear tests. Organic cotton and snug-looking photographs also do not establish a completed compliance record.
A practical shopping distinction
If you need a daytime base layer,confirm that product's exact intended-use and care information separately. If you need sleepwear,choose and verify a product sold for that purpose and inspect current safety labeling. Do not buy oversized loose cotton layers as an assumed substitute for snug-fitting pajamas.
